certification

While we focus on quality learning over a “tick in the box”, we also recognise the importance and value of recognition of the effort and commitment required to complete further education and training. This is why our comprehensive agile 101 course ┬áis accredited with ICAgile, a US-based learning and accreditation organisation with members around the globe.

We have chosen to accredit our courses with ICAgile due to their focus on advancing high-quality agile learning by evaluating accredited courses against learning objectives set by industry experts. On successful completion of the course, learners earn the title of “ICAgile Professional”, which is not only a funky title but also enables participants to continue their agile learning to Expert Level along any of the following pathways:

  • Agile Leadership
  • Agile Testing
  • Agile Development
  • Agile Coaching
  • Agile Management
  • Agile Value Management
  • Enterprise Agile Coaching

why ICAgile?

If you’ve got some experience with agile certifications and/ or creating agile accredited courses then you’ll have likely come across a number of accreditation bodies worldwide, all with different learning objectives, accreditation standards and certification methods.

Being an ex-Project Manager, michi has accumulated a number of certifications (brag alert!) over the years, with a variety of price tags and across a wide range of quality, both with regards to content and delivery! So when founding agile attitude, integrity, quality and collaboration were important aspects michi was looking for in an accreditation provider, and ICAgile fit that bill. Having been a contributor to the Agile Management track (yup, more bragging!) in the past, michi appreciated the collaborative nature of ICAgile’s leadership team and their “practice what you preach” approach to working with their partners. But most of all, michi chose ICAgile for their willingness to say no to substandard course content, no to unqualified presenters reading off slides and no to “just-pass-the-exam” type course offerings.

Here’s a video of ICAgile Managing Director Ahmed Sidky explaining the differences between ICAgile accreditation and other accreditation bodies:

So there you go – getting courses accredited with ICAgile is certainly not easy, and becoming a certified agile professional will take more than just “warming the seat”, but we think it’s worth it – give us a chance to show you why!
